Marius will work with you to place protocols in your life to help you manage these conditions so that these conditions don’t overtake your life and stop you from feeling competitive.
Motivation is one of the driving forces behind human behavior. I motivate my clients by helping them to understand that the less intrinsically and interesting personal actions that’s required to do are related in some directly intelligible way to goals that they regard as valuable and that tags the activities that give a dopaminergic kick. Its absence can lead to mental illnesses such as depression.
Neuromuscular Therapy is a highly-specialized form of manual therapy that corrects chronic muscular and nervous system pain and dysfunctions by treating trigger points, muscle adhesions, and fascial (connective tissue) patterns. These trigger points, adhesions and fascial patterns can form due to a specific trauma, postural pattern, or series of repetitive movements. I recognize the need for the therapy in my clients by spotting the imbalance in the frame, decreased range of flexibility and movement, pain during movement, quick onset of fatigue and reduced strength between L and R levers. Neuromuscular Therapy sessions utilize precise treatment protocols to correct these patterns by releasing tight fascia, palpating and decreasing trigger points in tight bands of muscle and releasing areas of stuck muscle in an effective and efficient manner. The muscular areas of pain, and the surrounding muscles that are affected due to biomechanics and compensation for the primary pain are treated using these protocols.
Physical fitness is a state of health and well-being and, more specifically, the ability to perform aspects of sports, occupations and daily activities. Physical fitness is generally achieved through proper nutrition, moderate-vigorous physical exercise, and sufficient rest along with a formal recovery plan. The components of Physical Fitness include Muscular Strength, Muscular Endurance, Cardio – Vascular – Respiratory Endurance, Body Fat Composition, Balance and Coordination, Speed or Quickness, Flexibility, Agility, Power and Reaction time. I listen closely to learn my clients’ primary objectives and concerns and conduct a thorough assessment. Having the “habits” conversation and agreeing to realistic goals, I then write a scalable thumb-print program aiming to achieve the agreed goals. Practicing neuro-muscular therapy offers my clients a supportive benefit in understanding the Anatomy much deeper and applying that knowledge to accelerate results to prevent injury. I am also “Exercise is Medicine” (ACSM) (SASMA) qualified (the aim of EIM is to make physical activity assessment and promotion a standard in clinical care, connecting health care with evidence-based physical activity resources for people everywhere of all abilities), meaning I can professionally assist any client with diagnosed conditions.
Nutrition is the biochemical and physiological process by which an organism uses food to support its life, meaning sustaining good health and growth. Water, carbohydrates, fat, protein, vitamins, and minerals are the key nutrients that make up a healthy, balanced diet. Feeding is the process of taking in food and using it for growth, metabolism, and repair. Nutritional stages are ingestion, digestion, absorption, transport, assimilation, and excretion. My journey to understand the effects of nutrition on the body started in 1994 being part of the ACC (aids control committee) at a High Security Prison facility. I saw firsthand how healthy and immune deficient human bodies respond to the quality of food. Paul Zane Pilzer author of “The Next Trillion” alerted me on the planned attack on citizens health by the government, food industry and big pharma – “it’s like standing in the telescope of a hunter”, referring to the advertising and selling of food that is created to affect the human body negatively (sugar diabetes, blood pressure, heart disease, cancer, dementia etc.).
My deep understanding of food and the effects of corrective feeding on the body:
- ACC (Aids Control Committee Dr. Colleen Coetzee)
- WNSO (World Natural Sports Organization – Pro Athlete) (University of KwaZulu Natal endocrinology dept.)
- EIM (Exercise Is Medicine) (ACSM American College of Sports Medicine)
- Consulting in Pharmacies, Slimming Clinic, Aesthetic clinic.
- Continual research and reading (Prof. Dr. Robert Lustig, M.D., neuroendocrinologist, professor of pediatrics at the University of California, Dr. Peter Attia, a Stanford/Johns Hopkins/NIH-trained physician focusing on the applied science of longevity, the extension of human life, and well-being, Dr, Barbara O’Neill Australian alternative health care personality, Dr. Peter D’Adamo naturopathic physician (blood type diet) etc.
Mostly all my clients aim to improve a health condition, physical strength and fitness, athletic ability and loss body total body fat for health, energy and appearance reasons which means I am continually engaged in writing and supervising corrective feeding programs.
Nutritional Supplement is a concentrated source of nutrients or other substances with a nutritional or physiological effect that supplement the normal diet. It may include vitamins, minerals, protein, or fat, and may be given by mouth, by tube feeding, or into a vein.
My deep understanding of nutritional supplementation is developed by functionally being involved by serving at an Aids Control Committee (improving immune deficient bodies), preparing myself for world championships as an athlete supported by the faculty of endocrinology at the university of KwaZulu Natal SA and becoming a Joe Weider sponsored Pro Athlete of WNSO, till present representing Biogena Nutraceuticals which are the formulation of nutrient/nutrients which helps in prevention and treatment of some diseases, in addition to a supplement diet).
The process of or concern with becoming slim or slimmer as by losing weight, reducing total body fat and decreasing the circumference of the torso and limbs. Normally by means of weight-loss medications, bariatric surgery, nutrition counseling, meal replacement programs, intragastric balloons. Body Shaping is the art of contouring the appearance of the external silhouette of the body, meaning accurately breaking down muscle fiber and then feeding the muscle and therefore changing the aesthetic appearance of the muscle, atrophying cellulite, reducing the diameter of fat cells and corrective regulation of water.
My understanding of slimming has deepen more from serving as a consultant to various clinics, health and wellness centers, high performance centers, pharmacies and also from years of competing as a pro-Athlete under the WNSO (world natural sports organization), which means I can only pull on the levers of wholesome nutrition, supplementation, nutraceutical feed, an exercise and injury prevention program, positive motivational program and accurate sleep management.
I still live the lifestyle and can positively and functionally consult, strategize, write the program and execute or educate the thumbprint program.
Program design is a complex process that involves manipulation of multiple variables. The components of physical fitness provide a sophisticated guideline to improve physical health. Strategizing to design a program is very important. I work with my clients to design a schedule, aiming to fully engage them in activities that can be difficult and bring about more effort than anticipated, over an extended period of time. Firstly, I will try to understand the dominant neurotransmitter in the brain of the individual, have all the results of a full assessment (also include ancestral origin, infant feeding specifics and gross motor milestones and current digestive system function), understand the circadian rhythms over a 24-hour cycle, the physical, mental and sleeping stress, feeding habits and chronic medication. I make it my duty to understand the primary goal of the client and engage my client in a constructive and honest conversation about optimal but realistic stages of success.
I support my clients to improve different aspects of their lives, such as relationships, health, fitness, nutrition. The aim in my sessions is to assess my client’ physical activity levels, dietary preferences, lifestyle interests, health and wellness options and then to strategically motivate corrective changes and guidance to help to change necessary habits.
A subject matter expert (SME) is a person who has extensive knowledge, skills, and expertise in a particular field or topic. An SME is also to ensure the facts and details are correct so that the project’s/program’s deliverable(s) will meet the needs of the stakeholders, legislation, policies, standards, and best practices. I have extensive knowledge on the health, wellness, fitness, health and wellness centers, fitness facilities subject gained from a significant amount of experience. Although the tasks will vary on the line of work or organization, my role will often revolve around sharing expertise through discussion, evaluation, and influencing.
A case study is an intensive, systematic investigation of a single individual, group, community or some other unit in which the researcher examines in-depth, multi-faceted understanding of a complex issue in its real-life context to increase the understanding of them.
From some of the clients that I meet for a consultation I learn that they are presenting certain signs and symptoms which are contraindicated to them participating in activity and will make it very difficult for them to achieve their primary goals when taking part in a human performance program. Mostly they feel that they have to live with their condition for they already had medical treatment and interventions, experiencing discomfort and pain. I will ask their permission to do a case study to determine how I can help them to achieve their primary goal. My studies, years of continual self -studies, research and functional work experience (where the focus is always to successfully hit the target regarding the client’s expectation of result) honed my understanding of the very evident but invisible queue of cause and effect in the body – meaning what can possibly cause the symptom to affect a person in a particular way.
